Fairy Tail gets Anime Adaptation

I am finally back, my finger is now numb and it doesn't hurt anymore. Lucky me. :)

So what better way to come back but with a host of new articles to touch upon. First off, Fairy Tail is slated have an anime adaptation in production.

Fairy Tail is the newest project headed by Hiro Mashima; the author of Groove Rave Adventure (or Rave Master). Young Lucy Heartfilia is a magician in training with dreams to join the renown mage guild, Fairy Tail. During her travels, she hears about one of the guilds' famed member known as "Salamander". However, "Salamander" is a turns out to be a hotheaded impulsive teen named Natsu. Lucy is eventually welcomed into Fairy Tail where she, Natsu and other members go on various quests together.

My initial interest in the series began with a friend and a trip to NY Anime Festival where I picked up this.

The series has humor and action; following in the footsteps of two similar works: Rave Master and One Piece. Rave Master was Mashima's previous work; the two's art style is similar and there are certainly references evident. The action and humor are similar in tone to One Piece; its not surprising given that Mashima was once the student of Eiichiro Oda, the father of One Piece. At the end of the day, Fairy Tail is a shonen series with promise.

Expect the series to make its debut in the fall of this year.

I'M BACK, BABY!!!
